Greetland Day Nursery Tree

Greetland Private Day Nursery had in their garden an old eucalyptus tree that had died. They wanted to do something with the trunk even though they knew that the majority of the tree had to come down so, in a roundabout way, I was asked through the West Riding Woodcarving Association if I was willing to do something with the remainder of the tree trunk. This is the result.

The Nursery has named the carving “The Story Tree” and intends to sit the children round the tree on sunny days and tell them stories about the magical goings on within and around the tree.

I must also thank John M for his excellent work with the chainsaw.
